As the Production Designer at Longwoods Publishing, a key independent Canadian publisher in the healthcare industry, I manage the print and digital production of five quarterly, industry-leading international journals: Healthcare Quarterly, Healthcare Papers, Healthcare Policy, Nursing Leadership and World Health & Population. Each journal has a different style and content, requiring a careful eye to maintain consistency throughout.
As well as laying out and producing each issue, I redraw most figures to match style and improve their design, source or develop cover and internal images, and provide editorial advice where necessary. Additionally, I produce materials for special projects (such as books), events and advertising as required, and have written multiple guidelines and SOPs for the company.
